Hi guys, is there any possibility to connect to some IRCnet servers from your free shell ?
Hello, if IRCnet is full of users from free shell, it will not be possible. You will need to upgrade to one of the paid servers, or wait for empty slot on IRCnet.
You can use max of 2 irc connections per shell. We do not know how many irc connections are allowed on IRCNet for one hostname, but you can mix up and use other vhosts from the list.
i changed the hostname in my irssi settings and it says this -!- ERROR Closing Link: jjebse[[email protected]] (Too many host connections (local)) is this still about irc network or my nickname etc.
too many host connections means as we stated previously that we are maxed out to that network on our connections. You can use your free shell to connect to another network or wait until there is a free spot for you to connect to IRCnet. Thanks for your patience. I will now close this ticket as it is complete.
