Acceptable Use Policy

xShellz is built for legitimate, lawful use. This policy keeps the platform fast, reputable and welcome on every network we serve.

Last updated June 10, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to every xShellz account, turborg and runtime, and forms part of our Terms of Service. By using the service you agree to use it only for lawful purposes and in line with the policies of the IRC networks you connect to. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account, without refund, and where appropriate referral to the relevant authorities.

Legitimate use only

xShellz exists to keep people reliably connected to IRC, running bouncers, bots, AI agents and shells for genuine communication, community and automation. If your intended use is lawful, respects the networks you join and doesn't harm others, you're welcome here. If you're unsure whether something is allowed, ask us first. We'd rather help you stay within the lines than act after the fact.

Prohibited activity

You may not use xShellz, or allow anyone else to use it, to:

  • Break any applicable law or regulation, or facilitate anyone else in doing so.
  • Send spam, flood, or mass-message users or channels, or otherwise abuse an IRC network or its members.
  • Gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, account or network, or scan, probe or test the security of infrastructure you don't own or have explicit permission to assess.
  • Distribute malware or malicious code, operate botnets for malicious purposes, or take part in or facilitate denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks.
  • Host, transmit or link to unlawful content, or material that infringes the intellectual-property or privacy rights of others.
  • Harass, threaten, defame or stalk any person, or share others' private information without consent.
  • Mine cryptocurrency, or run network tunnels, proxies or reverse shells to disguise the origin of traffic.
  • Evade a network ban, K-line, G-line or other enforcement action using our infrastructure.
  • Resell, share or sublicense an account in violation of your plan limits, or operate multiple accounts to circumvent those limits.

Respect every network you join

Each IRC network sets its own rules. You are responsible for reading and following them, and for the conduct of any bot or agent you run. We expect you to keep your credentials secure, report a compromised account promptly, and operate AI agents and skills within your plan's token and rate limits so the platform stays healthy for everyone.

Lawful cooperation & enforcement

We operate transparently and in good faith. We cooperate with IRC network operators on abuse handling, and we comply with valid legal process, such as a lawful court order or subpoena, as set out in our Privacy Policy. We do not, however, monitor the content of private sessions, and we will not disclose your information except where the law requires it or to investigate a genuine, documented breach of this policy.

Where we find abuse, we may suspend or terminate the account involved, remove offending content or connections, and preserve relevant records as required. Whenever circumstances allow, we'll reach out before taking action.
